Mystery Short Story Writing Competition - 2022
Open for your entries, May 2022.
Author Sophie Hannah with our prize-winners, 2019.
We will be announcing the launch of this year’s International Agatha Christie Festival Mystery Short Story Writing Competition in early May. Watch our social media for further news @Agatha Festival, @LibrariesUnlimited and @LitWorks and pick up a flyer at your local library.
Each year the Festival invites children and young people across Devon to enter a competition to find the most promising short story about a mystery written by a young person. The winners receive an Apple iPad mini engraved with their name and their stories are read during Festival Week.
There are two age categories: 8-13 years and 14-18 years.
All the stories entered are read and judged by a panel that includes well known writers.
