Agatha Christie Sea Swim Supports Local Charities

The 2023 Agatha Christie One-Mile Sea Swim between Beacon Cove and Meadfoot Beach saw an incredible 225 swimmers taking part.

The swim celebrates the author’s love of sea swimming by visiting some of her favourite bathing places around the Bay. £3128 has been donated to Rowcroft Hospice and a further £1000 given to the Agatha Christie Festival Charity to organise events promoting literacy and a love of reading amongst young people in Devon. The 2024 Agatha Christie Sea Swim will take place on the opening morning of the festival (7 September, starting at Broadsands Beach and finishing at Goodrington South Sands in Paignton.
