The Affair at the Victory Ball

The Grand Hotel

‘What a wonderful evening it was!’
~ Agatha Christie on Max’s return from the war

Join us for an evening of celebration at the Grand Hotel! As part of our commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day you are invited to enjoy a complimentary welcome drink followed by a three-course meal. After the meal, you can dance the night away to the sounds of AJ’s Big Band, a 17-piece band and singer who authentically recreate the big band classics of the '30s and '40s.

In her autobiography, Agatha Christie stated ‘My life began again’ when the war ended. With Max home and her beloved Greenway, complete with its new fresco in the library, returned to her, there was much to celebrate.

So, dress to impress (wartime/period costume welcome) and help us party like it’s 1945!
