Join us for an afternoon garden party at Wylam House, a spectacular and historic villa in the most desirable area of Torquay. The house (then called ‘Kya Lami’) was visited by a young Agatha Miller and her family when they were friends with the Struben family who lived here from 1890–1917. In recent years, the house and grounds have been lovingly restored to their former splendour by owners, George and Caroline Berg, who are kindly opening up their gardens for this very special event.
It’s a truly unique opportunity to step back in time, and enjoy a sociable afternoon soiree in the stunning gardens of this restored mid-19th century Italianate villa dating back to around 1861.
Why not dress in period style to walk the beautiful gardens that Agatha herself would have enjoyed? There will be a welcome glass of prosecco and a Devonshire cream tea served on the terrace, as well as live music from Terrie-May and a mystery hunt to solve during the afternoon.
Tickets £25 including a welcome drink and cream tea in the gardens.
