Join us for an afternoon garden party at Wylam House, a spectacular and historic villa in the most desirable area of Torquay. The house (then called ‘Kya Lami’) was visited by a young Agatha Miller and her family when they were friends with the Struben family who lived here from 1890–1917. In recent years, the house and grounds have been lovingly restored to their former splendour by owners, George and Caroline Berg, who are kindly opening up their gardens for this very special event.

While staying at her holiday home at Greenway, Agatha Christie worshipped at the ancient church of St Mary the Virgin, Churston Ferrers. In her autobiography, she noted ‘It is a beautiful little church and the plain glass east window always gaped at me like a gap in teeth. I looked at it every Sunday and used to think how lovely it would look in pale colours’.
